Introduction:

In today’s world of digital transformation, businesses rely heavily on secure email and document sharing platforms to collaborate with their employees and partners. Our client, a leading financial services company, wanted to build a secure platform that would allow their employees to communicate and share documents seamlessly. They required a solution that would be scalable, secure, and easily integrated with their existing infrastructure. To achieve this, we recommended using AWS Business Application services.

 

Solution:

The solution we proposed consisted of several AWS services, including Amazon WorkMail, Amazon WorkDocs, AWS Single Sign-On, and Amazon CloudWatch.

 

Email Platform:

The first step was to build a secure email platform that would allow employees to communicate with each other and external partners. We used Amazon WorkMail to create a scalable and secure email platform. Amazon WorkMail is a fully managed, enterprise-grade email and calendar service that offers robust security and compliance features. It is also integrated with AWS Single Sign-On, which allows employees to sign in once and access all their business applications.

 

Document Sharing Platform:

The next step was to build a document sharing platform that would allow employees to collaborate and share files securely. We used Amazon WorkDocs to create a centralized and secure document sharing platform. Amazon WorkDocs is a fully managed, secure content creation, storage, and collaboration service that offers powerful search capabilities and robust security features.

 

Single Sign-On:

To simplify the login process and enhance security, we used AWS Single Sign-On to manage access to all business applications. AWS Single Sign-On is a cloud-based service that simplifies access management for business applications. It allows users to sign in once and access all the applications they need, without having to remember multiple usernames and passwords.

 

Monitoring and Analytics:

To ensure that the platform was performing optimally and to monitor security events, we used Amazon CloudWatch. Amazon CloudWatch is a monitoring and observability service that provides visibility into the performance and health of the AWS resources. It also allows us to monitor security events and take immediate action if any anomalies are detected.

 

Results:

The solution we implemented for our client has resulted in several benefits, including:

  1. Improved Collaboration: The platform has enabled employees to collaborate more effectively and efficiently. It has provided a secure and centralized platform for communication and document sharing, resulting in increased productivity.
  2. Enhanced Security: The platform is highly secure, with robust security and compliance features. It has enabled the client to meet their security and compliance requirements, including HIPAA and FINRA.

AWS Business Application services have provided our client with a scalable, secure, and cost-effective platform for email and document sharing. The use of AWS services has also allowed the client to focus on their core business functions while leaving the technical details to us.
